Manual Flash OTA or Firmware for zen fone with this guide I will share the idea of flashing OTA update or stock firmware flashing we have two ways to flash firmware of zen fone 1st is via internal sd card or flash in recovery with gdb command for some ADB command I create some basic command to deal with zen fone

First is Firmware via Internal sd card for zen fone 

1. Download this latest KitKat firmware WW 2.21.40.44 the demo is for zen fone 5 this will also work an all zen fone series 
2. after download place it on the intel sd card of zenfone device check image below
3. after placing the firmware on intel sd card reboot your phone you will notice a notification that show a new firmware update and pick the firmware and follow the instruction by your device
4. this will reboot and flash the firmware from your internal sd card and done

Second is flash manually in recovery

1. download the firmware in your laptop/computer 
2. find the downloaded firmware
3. with your device you need to go to the stock recovery of zen fone
4. Power off the zen fone device 
5. while the device is power off  press and holds together the power + volume down this will bring you at recovery with the android logo 
6. now you will see the android logo you need to press and hold the volume down while holding the volume down press once the volume up to enter you to menu recovery
7. Now in Recovery plug the zen fone with USB in your laptop/computer 
8. In zen fone recovery chooses the update via adb 
9. Back to your computer find the downloaded Firmware and launch a CMD windows in the folder where the downloaded Firmware is placed
10. in CMD windows type the adb sideload firmware.zip this command will flash the firmware from laptop/computer to your device check the image below I upload to make it easy to understand

Flashing firmware will take time so wait until completed is shown on your recovery

• Some time flashing firmware for newbie is hard so we try to share this with you to learn
• Make sure USB driver and ADB is install in your computer
